Alright here we go let’s do this:

There once was a firefly girl

with hair brighter than the springtime ambrosias

and she collected coins from the sun drops

so she could give them to all her friends

two for the ladybug girl,

two for the dragonfly boy,

and three for the frog prince because his mother was ill.

The firefly girl would smile as they all ran to market

clutching coins as if they were flower petals.

And they’d all return with goods in hand

Gems and trinkets and wonderful things.

But there were absolutely none for the firefly girl.

And she wondered why she kept on giving like this

every single day, but received nothing in return.

They all walked away, carrying their new loot.

And the firefly girl tugged at her ragged dress and sighed

wondering when it’d be her turn.

She seemed to forget,

that she was the only one lucky enough

to even receive such wonderful coins.
